NatureSource grew without ever putting itself on sale
A Danish organic brand that everyone could buy and nobody knew decided to build a name instead of a discount.

- NatureSource
- Organic and health foods, Denmark
- B2B and B2C
- Retail shelves and their own store
- Three years
- Of building it the slow way
Where they started
Their products were already on shelves across Denmark. The shelf just belonged to somebody else.
NatureSource had built one of the country's stronger organic and health food ranges, sold through retailers who owned the customer, the data and the relationship. To the people actually eating the food, the name on the packet meant very little.
The easy road they didn't take
Selling direct meant becoming a brand people ask for by name. In organic food there is a quick way to do that, and everyone knows what it is: cut the price, run the offer, buy the order.
It also works exactly once. A customer who came for 20% off comes back for 25%, and the trust that made the product worth buying in the first place is spent. Coming from a company whose whole proposition is what goes into the product, that was a trade they were not willing to make.
How we help them change
They took the slower route and held it for years: growing direct sales and building the brand at the same time, rather than treating them as separate budgets that take turns.
That meant newsletters worth opening instead of weekly discount blasts, advertising that had to pay for itself without leaning on offers, and letting the customers who did buy say publicly what they thought.
Our part in it
- Ran the paid channels on Meta and Google so direct sales stayed profitable without discounting them into growth
- Built the newsletter programme in Klaviyo into a channel people stayed subscribed to, across both the B2B and the B2C side
- Kept performance and brand-building on the same plan year after year, so neither one was paid for out of the other

Where they are now
NatureSource has customers of its own — not just shelf space in somebody else's shop.
